Here are a few of my mood boards from my (finally) finished marketing report which I handed in today. It was about entering the UK bottled water market, and the brand I chose was Benefit Cosmetics.

Eyebrows- 20th Century Women

Yesterday in my lecture we were looking at the iconic women of the 20th Century. The 'It' girls and the Hollywood beauties that were a huge influence on the culture of their time, and indeed still influence our styles today. From looking at photos of all these beautiful women, one thing struck me and seemed to stand out the most... their eyebrows. Now, I have a bit of an obsession with eyebrows and have always loved plucking and grooming my own. I just love the way that can completely transform your face and shape it. The style of eyebrows has changed so much during the decades from the thick bushy look of Grace Kelly to the thin, straight brows of Clara Bow. I personally love a strong, thick eyebrow! Here are a few photos of the iconic celebrities of the 20th Century, and the changing look of the eyebrow.

Grace Coddington

The festive period is well and truly over and I am now back at Uni and back to working hard in Nottingham. After 3 days of chilling out and getting back into the Uni routine I had my first lecture today and it was all about styling. Now I'm not really interested in the styling side of fashion as a career for myself, but I do find it extremely interesting and exciting. In the lecture we were told about a few famous editorial stylists, but one that I am really interested in is Grace Coddington. Most people probably know of her from her role in 'The September Issue', but she is a huge icon on the styling scene and currently works for American Vogue. I love her work which is all so dramatic and almost fairy-tale like. She really uses the imagination to create an extravagant scene which tells a story. Here are some of my favourite pieces of her work.

New Camera

So my camera got stolen on new years eve (great start to the new year) along with my whole bag, yes that's right my vintage bag from my previous post is no longer :'( sad times. However, this did give me an excuse to purchase a brand new shiny camera with my Christmas money! :) So I got my new camera yesterday and decided to test it out today with some 'arty' shots! So here are just a few random photos of objects in my house.
