Pastels + Grunge = Wildfox White Label Collection

So Topshop's collections at the moment pretty much sum up my style obsession right now, 90's Grunge and Pretty Pastels! So gutted I am a skint student so cant flitter away all my cash in there, because I would definitely buy the whole shop right now if I could! But anyway, I know I promised you some outfit posts in my last post but I'm so crazy busy at the moment with a HUGE deadline next week, for 3 projects, I have literally been spending every waking hour in the library, so haven't had the chance yet! and I'm off to Milan straight after my deadline so busy busy busy, but I promise I will get round to it soon! Anyway, back to the grunge/pastels topic, I came across Wildfox's White Label Collection whilst casually browsing the internet and I'm obsessed. The collection pretty much sums up both the trends at the moment and I love it! What do you think?

Get your grunge on

Some of you may have seen my post a couple of months ago about my current style inspiration genre- grunge (view it here). I don't know what it is but I seem to be drawn to all things rocky/grungy at the moment. I was even considering getting a nose ring, however it has become kind of overdone recently and I see sooo many people with them I decided against it... might just wear a fake one every now and again so that I dont have to deal with the pain and can take it out whenever I fancy!

I have found myself buying lots of 'grungy' things without realising it, and I am literally obsessed with Le Happy's blog, I think her style is amazing, every outfit is perfect and she just pulls the grunge look off so well! Here are a few of my favourite outfits:

On a completely different note, I tried out the 'scouse brow' the other day. I love eyebrows so thought I would give it a go, I think it looks a little scary, even more so in real life!

I have also just got back from shopping and bought a few lovely vintage shop finds, so will have to get my act together and try and do some outfit posts at some point this week! They will probably look terrible as I just can't seem to work out the whole photo/camera/background situation, but watch this space! :)

Post-Christmas

I'm back to the blogging world after a rather crazy Christmas with lots of friends, family, work and a brief stint in hospital... dramatic! But I'm back now in the new year full of positive thoughts and good intentions! I thought I would dedicate my first post of the new year with the classic 'Christmas presents', a bit cliche I know, but everyone loves a good nosey at what you got for xmas! On another note, I have got a crazy few weeks ahead of me with a ridiculous amount of work to be handed in at the end of January and then hopefully a trip to Milan as a treat to myself after it all (whilst doing research, of course!) Will keep you updated!

I'm loving dark lipstick at the moment, so I got 2! The mac one is 'media', a beautiful berry colour, and the other is Kate Moss for Rimmel. I have also wanted Elizabeth Arden's classic 8 hour cream for agesss, and it hasn't disappointed! And if you haven't tried Liz Earle's products yet, you must, they are amazing!!!

Boots- boohoo. These make me SO tall, which I love!!

My main present- River Island. These boots are absolutely lush , I have been wearing them every single day since I got them, I love them quite a lot!

The snazzy red zip at the back
I also got a few items of clothing, which are currently in the wash as I'm preparing to move back to uni on Sunday, and a ridiculous amount of chocolate which isn't fitting in well with my new years resolutions! Anyway hope you all had a lovely Christmas and new year, happy 2012! :)
