Shopping Spreeeee

I went on a mini (well rather large actually) shopping spree yesterday. I had all my birthday money and vouchers to spend so thought I would give myself the day off from working and treat myself to a bit of retail therapy. I was looking to get a new outfit for my birthday celebrations next weekend, as well as a dress for my brothers wedding, and a watch. However, I soon realised that shopping isn't fun when you're looking for specific things, and its doubly not as fun on a Saturday when town is absolutely rammed. However, in between the flustered episodes in the fitting rooms and the stream of slow-walking shoppers which got me thourougly annoyed, my shopping trip was overall pretty successful! Here is what I bought:

Scarf- Primark

Dress- Primark- perfect for holiday!!

Skirt- Topshop

Shoes- Topshop

Crop top- Cow Vintage

Dress- Topshop- The dress for the wedding! IN LOVE with this!!

Watch- Fossil- LOVE this so much, my special birthday treat! :)

Have you noticed a theme here? I seem to be loving the neutrals and creams at the moment!

Birthday Time

I have become a fully fledged adult! I turned 21 on Tuesday which I'm still not too sure how I feel about. I am excited to be able to say I am 21 now, however, I do still look about 16! I normally get really excited for my birthday and like to drag it out over the whole week, however, this year I spent the day in the library as I had a deadline on Friday and another one next week, so as you can imagine, it wasn't the most thrilling. However, I allowed myself the night off and went out for a meal and a few drinks with the girls, and Im going to save the wild night out for after the deadline! (top student!)

My present from my Mum was a girly holiday to Dubrovnik in Croatia in 3 weeks time. Cannot wait!! I also got a few little things from the parents, and my Dad is in America as we speak, hopefully returning with lots of Mac and Benefit goodies! :)

And in preparation for my holiday, my flatmates got me this gorgeous bikini from Urban Outfitters. I have been lusting after these high waisted style bikinis for a while, so now all that's left is to get the bikini body ready!

I have ALWAYS wanted a massive Millie's cookie! :) (my flatmates call me Gail..)

Beautiful flowers from my Aunt and Uncle

My brother and my sister-in-law got me a Topshop voucher to buy a new dress for my birthday celebrations! So I will be off to town this weekend to spend spend spend! :)

Fur, Queeny and a Whole Lot of Horses

Last week I took a few days out of my busy uni schedule to do some work at The Royal Windsor Horse Show. I was working at the 'pop-up boutique' of The Soho Furrier which is a brand new company selling fur clothing, everything from fluffy boot liners to gorgeous, glamorous jackets. Have a look at their website, I even make a few cheeky appearances!

The 5 day event was a lot of fun, however, the first 2 days consisted of rain, wind and more rain! I have never seen so much mud in my life! Luckily by the third day the sunshine came out and the whole world seemed a brighter place, just in time for the busy weekend! The show was full of horsey things (a whole new world!) and performances from many countries and cultures. And as it was the Diamond Jubilee, the pageant this year was extra special. Of course, as the event was held in the Queens back garden, the lady herself had to make an appearance! So as well as a cheeky spot of her majesty, there were also celebs galore, everyone from Helen Mirren to Susan Boyle, heaven for a keen celeb spotter like myself!

The main arena

The steel band sounded amazing in the sunshine

The castle

Emily and I modelling some of the pieces!

Her majesty

A sneaky peak of the final night pageant

All in all, the event was an amazing experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting back into the retail industry and being surrounded by beautiful clothes!

For now though I need to stop distracting myself and get back to this marketing report which is due in on Friday! 9 more days until summer!!
