Bonny Scotland

If you read my previous post you will know that I went up to Scotland this week with my girls from uni to stay with one of my flatmates in her hometown. We took the overnight 12 and a half hour bus journey up to the most Northern point of Britain. As if that didn't sound horrific enough, the bus managed to break down halfway through, as we found ourselves standing on the side of a busy motorway at 7 o clock in the morning waiting for a replacement bus! Not nice after spending the night jammed in between a very smelly man and a kid kicking the back of your chair. Can you tell I didn't enjoy it?? Anyway, after all that drama, very minimal sleep and another hour added onto the journey, we arrived in beautiful Scotland, which has the most breathtaking scenery. We had a lovely week spent going for walks, baking cakes, sunbathing (and swimming) at the beach, drinking in pubs and having barbecues. It was absolutely idyllic. I just wish Scotland wasn't so far away as it is the perfect relaxing destination to getaway from it all.

Now after all my little trips it is back to reality as I start my internship at Look magazine tomorrow!! So excited! I will let you know how I get on...
