York

I have just returned from a lovely 4 day break in the beautiful city of York. York is somewhere I have always wanted to visit because of all the history and buildings and typical English-ness. So when my Mum had a couple of days off work we decided to take our little holiday up North. I fell in love with the city and all the amazing architecture, shops, entertainment and an abundance of yummy restaurants and cafes. We did all the typical touristy things including an open-top bus ride and visits to the museums, aswell as, of course, eating lots of naughty food and drinking lots of wine... we are a bad influence on each other!

After a 5 and a half hour bus ride home last night I am now unpacking and re-packing ready to take another 12 and a half hour bus ride up to Scotland tonight with mt uni friends for a week. More on that later!

  3. York is my favourite place ever, I'm lucky enough to live about 1 hour away by train so I get to visit quite often xx

  4. I have always wanted to visit York for all the reasons you did... I think living in London you have to force yourself to actually make the effort to leave... But the more pics I see of York the more I am convinced! Looks lovely :)
