1) Burberry Prorsum
Of course I am going to start with Burberry. If you didn't stream the live show then it's well worth a look online. Burberry shows are always a favourite of mine, and this was no different. Traditional autumn hues of khaki, berry and camel clashed with quirky animal prints, alongside classic cuts and tailoring. The overall feel of the collection was slightly more eccentric than traditional Burberry menswear shows which just proves the fact that mens fashion is becoming more playful and risky.
2) Valentino
The Valentino collection is an absolute favourite of mine. Beautiful classic pieces, with plenty of tweed and checks in a monochrome palette, absolutely beautiful. Valentino's stuff is always so elegant and this season it seemed very inspired by old British heritage and countryside, which I absolutely loved. The collection was really wearable and I seem to be a bit obsessed with tartan at the moment so kind of want the tartan suit for myself...!
3) Bottega Veneta
I have always been a fan of Bottega Veneta's womenswear, but this year, the menswear raised the bar. A very simple collection with muted tones, mostly consisting of black, grey, brown and camel. The simplicity allowed for traditional style to shine through. A really lovely collection which wasn't too out there or crazy!
4) Emporio Armani
Another beautiful and timeless collection was Emporio Armani. Armani are of course known for their sharp tailoring and sophisticated look and this collection was no different. Lots of traditional pieces with the occasional wacky piece thrown in to add a sense of fun. I particularly like the black fur jacket. Who would of thought it, men in fur!
5) Comme Des Garcons
I couldn't talk about mens fashion without mentioning Comme des Garcons! Their collection this season was as crazy as ever, definitely more of a statement than wearable fashion. The show was dominated by bright pastel colours and funky rabbit-ear-hat-things... an extreme look! All the models had an interesting long haired look going on, definitely rocking the 'boys looking like girls' trend to the max.
