Gold Leather

Thank god for there still being pretty autumn leaves around...just makes my photos a little bit better! Today is an outfit for you featuring a recently purchased dress from H&M along with an old classic from River Island. I love the leather skirt on this dress matched with the casual grey jersey top and little cut outs to make it a bit more dressy. H&M have some amazing things in at the moment and some things I pick up and can't believe the price. This dress was £14.99! I think it is fast becoming my favourite bargain high street store! I matched my new dress with this glitzy jacket which I picked up about two years ago in the River Island sale. I love this jacket, and always bring it out at Christmas time as I feel only glitzy, glittery things should be worn at Christmas! The photos don't show it very well, but it is a lovely, bright gold which sparkles so well in the winter sunshine. And finally to finish it off are my new Monki boots which I am wearing with everything at the moment!

Bathroom Beauty Favourites

Now that my brother has moved out of the family home and I am back to living at home, I now have my own bathroom, rejoice! With all this spare space that I have never known before, I have managed to have a little beauty overhaul and been very, very organised. There are now 3 rankings for my beauty bits and bobs. In the cupboard on the bottom shelf I have all the rarely used products and unopened products ready to be used. On the top shelf I have regularly used products which don't quite make it through to the next level, then finally the everyday saviors which are stored next to the sink. These products are my all fave products of the moment which I use every day. Here's a little run-down of my everyday hero products:

Bottom Shelf

Firstly, my much loved and probably all time favourite cleanser is the Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream. This is literally the best thing ever! I have been using this for years and years, and was probably the first product I invested a bit of money into whilst moving on from horrible teen skin brands. As you can see, the tube is well loved and I think this is  about my 4th tube. You press it into your skin instead of rubbing and it is just so gentle and kind to your skin. I don't think I will ever move on from this cleanser and nothing is going to break my love affair! I use this in the evenings after removing my make-up as part of a double cleanse routine.

I use the Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash in the mornings to wake me up. I just use this followed by an eye cream and cleanser. It is the perfect morning cleanser as it foams up and is quick and easy to use, allowing me to speed up my morning routine. It smells yummy and leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed.

My new love goes to Bioderma Sensibio H2O. I have just started using this product and it is already a firm favourite which I know will be a staple in my skincare routine. It is literally just like water and removes all your makeup so easily with just a few swipes on cotton wool. It even removes my stubborn mascara clad eyelashes so gently and easily. I love being able to use one product for face and eyes as I used to have two separate cleansers for each. This way I'm saving time and money! What's not to love!?

The luxurious Origins Plantscription Moisturiser really does feel super luxurious and amazing to use. After finishing my Origins Perfect World Moistursier, I didn't think anything else could fill the gap in my life. But Plantscription is equally as wonderful and makes my skin feel super soft and plump. It is a lovely consistency and the perfect base for make-up  I use this in the morning after cleansing and don't even need to use a primer any more before applying my make-up as this just does it all for me!

Finally I have discovered the king of all eye creams. Freeze 24/7 Eyecing comes in a gorgeous little pot which looks lovely next to my sink. It is a lovely texture which hydrates and nourishes the eye are and gives my eyes that much needed wake up in the morning. The pot is also huge and considering the tiny amount you need, it is going to last forever!!

So there you have it, my round up of my bathroom beauty essentials and my favourite products of the moment. Please excuse how dirty my bathroom looks in these photos...
Have you tried any of these products? What are your daily essentials?

Sheepy Fleece and Clown Shoes

New shoes alert! Once again I have been trawling Ebay for some cracking finds, and this week are these fab boots, or as my mum has affectionately labeled them- my 'clown shoes'. Thanks mum! The time has come when I have to put my toes away for the winter and can no longer wear my white Ebay sandals, so a closed toe version was my only option. Like all Ebay buys from China, these did take about a month to come, but it was worth it in the end as they are so comfy! I teamed my new shoes with some of my other new items. Taking outfit photos really makes me realise how many clothes I buy. I have decided to not buy any more clothes until next year now as my December spending is purely dedicated to presents for other people! Anyway, I went on a bit of a spree recently in Monki, who have so many amazing pieces in at the moment! This fluffy fleece is the cosiest thing ever and I wear it all the time! I also bought this camisole top from there and I have paired it with my lace skirt from Zara. I love wearing these two together so it looks like a dress. What do you think?

London Day Trip

Last weekend I had a lovely little day trip to London with my Mum. We try to have a girly day out every so often to indulge our love of food, shopping and the theatre. London always feels so magical before Christmas, and we enjoyed a perfect day of seeing all the Christmassy things, as well as a small spot of shopping, lots of eating, and a trip to see Matilda! I have wanted to see Matilda for ages but the tickets are just so expensive! However, we decided to just go for it as it is a show that has been on our hit list for too long, and we managed to get some relatively reasonably priced tickets. The show was absolutely amazing, and it has secured its spot on my favourite musicals lists... a much coveted award! I couldn't believe how talented the little kids in the show were, especially the girl who played young Matilda. Every time I go to the theatre it makes me wish I pursued a career in musical theatre!
As well as the excitement of the evening, we also had an afternoon tea at the Colonnade Hotel in Warwick Avenue. I bought it as a birthday present for my Mum in September as we have always wanted to do it. It was the perfect break from the cold, and the champagne and cakes warmed us up perfectly. We also managed to squeeze in a look round the Christmas market on South Bank, brunch at my favourite eatery- Le Pain, a walk around Little Venice and Carnaby Street and dinner at yummy Mexican chain, Wahaca. All in all a very busy and tiring day but the perfect mummy-daughter day trip.

Cold Shoulder

Welcome to my new jacket love! I am a little obsessed with fluffy and furry things at the moment. I think the weather is excuse enough for this new obsession. I bought this little beauty a few weeks ago and thought I had found a hidden gem as it was all by itself in H&M and was £15...I couldn't believe my luck! However, I have since seen it EVERYWHERE, in every store window and plastered all over the adverts on the I must say I have gone off it a little. It's still a great jacket though and jazzes up a plain black outfit. I paired it with my new boots from Monki which I loooove. They are so comfy and just the right height. I recently had a bit of a Monki spree and bought some lovely new pieces which will be featured on here very soon! I've also started using this cute little leather backpack which I found lurking in my mums wardrobe. Its about 20 years old! I think I'm going to have to start using it a lot more!

Urban Outfitters S/S'14 Press Day

Last week I popped along to the Urban Outfitters Spring/Summer Press day just off quirky Carnaby Street in London. The venue had Urban outfitters written all over it- entrance was through the back of an old record store and down the stairs to an underground gallery hosting the UO goodies. I went along with the lovely Ellie from Ellies Favourite Things and as soon as we walked in we were greeted with lots of yummy food and drink to refresh us before taking a look at the new collections. I think I was most excited about the fact they had homemade marshmallows which tasted phenomenal, like biting into a cloud! After the initial food excitement we checked out the S/S offerings. I literally wanted everything! There were so many great pieces for both men, women and homewear from a range of brands that UO stock and so many outfits I just wanted to take straight off the mannequin. The new lookbook also looks amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on some things when they arrive in store next year.
