Shoulder Pads

This outfit features a few of my Christmas presents from last year (doesn't Christmas feel like forever ago!) I received this gorgeous jacket from Zara from my boyfriend. I am the worst at letting other people buy me clothes and normally hate it when someone else buys me something without my apporval first, but the boy did well! He is very into his fashion and knows how to pick good clothes for me so I always trust his purchases. I love this jacket and have found myself wearing it so many times since receiving it as it can instantly jazz up a simpe outfit. I am also wearing my new boots which I got from my Mum. Black riding boots are my thing and I wear them all the time with everything. Over the past few years I have gone through a number of pairs so when my previous pair started to give way I knew it was time for a nice new pair, just in time for Christmas! These are from Aldo and are absolutely perfect and so comfy. I also got this gorgeous Uniform Wares watch from my boyfriend which I am in love with. I've got to be honest, when I first opened it, I wasn't 100% sure about it as it is so plain and simple, but I absolutely love it now. It is so classy and sophisticated and makes my wrist look very elegant. I realise I need to grow out of the chunky, diamond encrusted watches at some point!

A Trip to the Seaside

At the weekend I had a little day out with my Mum to the seaside. It was a bit of a spur of the moment thing. We wanted to go somewhere different and pretty, somewhere we could eat good food and admire the view. We decided to go to Chichester, a cute little town on the South coast with a lovely harbour and lots of nice views to appreciate. It was a beautiful, crisp sunny day, the perfect winter weather. Firstly we went to the harbour and admired all the gorgeous boats and yachts on show. We discovered a cute little restaurant, on the edge of the harbour with nautical interiors and delicious food. Being by the seaside, we of course had to go for fish, beer battered fish and chips for me and salmon fishcake for Mum. After lunch we went into the town centre and stumbled across the cathedral and beautiful grounds. After a spot of shopping we rested our weary feet in an old-fashioned tea house, in the crypt of the cathedral for a classic afternoon tea. All in all, the perfect day out and a lovely break from the fast-paced city life. What is your favourite place for a day trip? I need some recommendations for next time!

January Sale Bargains

"I'm not going to buy anything in the sales this year"... is what I said to myself on Boxing Day. A few weeks on from then, and I am sitting in my room, surrounded by new clothes about to show you all what I bought in the Christmas weak willed I am! So, as you can see, all my good will failed and I actually bought a few item, although, I must add, all an absolute bargain! I managed to find some gems, so I thought I would share them with you and hopefully make me feel less guilty instead of keeping it a dirty secret!

So first of all, I had a Topshop voucher for Christmas which was burning a hole in my pocket. So I headed straight to town to spend it. I wasn't that impressed with the sale this year, and actually ended up buying a full priced item as well. I went for some much needed basics which will be new staples in my wardrobe.

I then headed to Zara and picked up these beautiful trousers which will be perfect dressed up for work or dressed down for weekends. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know I am a trouser magnet. A girl can never have enough pairs of funky trousers is my motto! I also picked up a couple of steals from Primark! This amazing jacket which is such a nice fit was £7 and this beautiful beaded crop was £3!

Top- £3
I then made a cheeky Asos order. However, I actually sent it all back! I am a bit of a failure when it comes to online shopping. I am not one of those people that can just buy anything without trying it on first. The idea of just buying something from a photo of a beautiful 5ft11 model and thinking it will look the same on you is just stupid really. Of course, nothing looked as good as I thought it would... which actually saved me quite a bit of money I suppose.

As well as the clothes, I also got a few little pieces of jewellery, with my favourite being this Estella Bartlett necklace. I spotted these necklaces in a shop in Shropshire a couple of months ago and didn't know the name of them. I couldn't stop thinking about them and stumbled across them the other day, so placed an order straight away! I have been on the look out for a really delicate silver necklace for ages, and this one fits the bill exactly!£12.99
What do you think of my sales bargains? Keep a look out for some outfit posts with them coming up soon.

Fluffy Coat

This is the warmest, cosiest thing you could ever wear! I had been in and out of Next numerous times trying this coat on in every store I could find and pondering over the practicality of it. Then I decided to bite the bullet and purchase it. I am a little bit in love with it and it feels like I constantly have a warm fluffy animal to stroke at all times. I still can't work out whether I look more TOWIE or more Chelsea in it, bit who cares, I can throw it on over anything and I instantly feel glam and sophisticated when I wear it. I am also wearing my much loved Zara skirt and a new crop top from H&M..another bargain at £7.99! This was the perfect outfit for Saturday night drinks with my friends and what's best of all, I don't have to worry about freezing my bum off waiting for a taxi home, I pretty much feel like I'm wrapped up in bed already, what's not to love!?
